THE President of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Oladele, has tasked Nigerians to endeavour to move closer to Christ, adding that He is the main issue in the contemporary world due to His impact on humanity.

Oladele said this during the 2024 Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons tagged, “Pilgrimage of the Wise Men, held at the All Saints’ Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Bashorun, Ibadan, on Friday.

“We must always deal with Christ. Today, Christ remains the main issue globally. Whether we like it or not, He is the main issue. What we do with Him matters a lot. Either you accept Him or not,’’ he said.

“The wise men, who came to worship Christ, gave Him gifts and we need to join them on the issue. The need to unite with the wise men matters a lot as their mission is pivotal.  The number of the wise men is not the issue; they came to see the King of kings

‘’The people we keep company with will determine our destiny. They came to see Christ, the savior. Christianity is about sojourn. We are the people on the way,’’ he said.

The cleric averred that the wise men are example to human race as they studied the star that led them to Christ, adding that nobody has excuse not to relate with God.

He said that Christ is the only solution to human problems and urged Nigerians to search for Him faithfully.

Oladele said that the wise men traced Christ who is the only notable star globally that is there yesterday, today and tomorrow and stressed the need for Nigerians, most especially Christians to emulate His humility.

“The wise men did not rest till they got to Christ. The time to found and search for Him is now. We need to look and search for Him. Great men have come and gone but Christ is everlasting,’’ he said.

The 2024 Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons was graced by a delegation of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, who charged Nigerians to always sing and praise God for His mercy on the nation. He commended the leadership of the church for spreading the gospel globally.
