BVN verification: Bauchi Gov directs payment of two months salaries to verified LG workers

A total of 14,632 staff from the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State have been verified out of which 13,285 were cleared while a total of 861 did not turn up for the exercise.

Consequently, the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has directed for the immediate payment of October and November salaries of the workers who were verified and cleared by the BVN Committee.

In a press release signed by the Acting Director, Press Affairs, Government House Bauchi, Sulaiman Alhassan Dambam, this followed the completion of the Committee’s assignment in the 20 local government areas of the state.

The statement further contained that consequently, Governor Bala Mohammed approved the payment of salaries of 101 State Civil Servants who missed the earlier verification with valid reasons and are now cleared by the committee.

To this end, according to the statement, the governor has granted a 10-day extension to the committee in order to conduct verification of the State and Local Government pensioners.
