PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has approved the programme of activities marking Nigeria’s 59th Independence Anniversary to be observed with low-key on October 1, 2019.
Director, Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Willie Bassey, said President Buhari gave approval to the programme of activities on Wednesday.
According to the activities lined up for the occasion to be kicked up from 23rd September, there would be Juma’at prayer at the national mosque and interdenominational Christian service at National Christian Centre.
There would also be a National Youth Entrepreneurship Empowerment Summit and Youth Concert at International Conference Centre and National Park respectively.
