President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Chief Justice of the Federation (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.
In his place, he has sworn in Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed in an acting capacity.
He performed the ceremony at the presidential villa, Abuja on Friday.
Buhari said the suspension followed an order from the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) dated January 23, 2019.

The CJN issued a press statement that he will inaugurate the election tribunals tomorrow. That we should disregard any information that he has resigned.
