After almost three harrowing days, abductors of a parish priest of a catholic church in Delta State has released their victim.
He was reportedly released Monday evening by his suspected Fulani abductors.
Rev. Fr. Samuel Agwameseh of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Issele-Mkpitime in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state was abducted last Saturday.

Thereafter, a ransom of N20 million was demanded by his abductors after they opened contact with the priest’s family members.
The Director of Social Communication of Issele-Uku Catholic Diocese, Rev. Fr. Charles Uganwa, who had earlier confirmed the N20 million ransom demanded, also confirmed the release of Fr. Agwameseh to a local medium.
Tribune Online had earlier reported that the catholic cleric was abducted while returning from Onicha-Olona town where he went to produce the church’s weekly bulletin meant for last Sunday’s Mass.
Authorities of the Delta State Police Command could not be reached for confirmation.
