Benue SDP chairman appeals to Falae to intervene in party internal crisis

The Benue State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), John Enemari appealed to the former national chairman of the party, Chief Olu Falae to intervene in the party’s internal crisis.

Enemari who spoke to newsmen on Tuesday, lamented the internal crisis rocking the party and decried the situation that the party has three factional leaders.

He said, “the intraparty crisis rocking our great party, the SDP calls for urgent attention and I appeal to our father, the former national chairman of the party and elder statesman, Chief Olu Falae to intervene before the party goes into extinction.

“Already, there are three factional chairmen of the party, we have one faction that belongs to Supo Shonibare, another faction for Agunloye and also Abdul Ishaq faction.

Enemari said that the development of the state rests solely on SDP.

According to him, “the only visible development in the state was done by SDP led government under Moses Adasu and since then, the state has remained stagnant.

Enemari, however, called on the present government in the state to honour the former governor, late Rev. Fr. Moses Adasu by naming the State University, Makurdi established during his administration after him.
