Civil servants have been implored to be committed to their duties in the interest of the progress of the country.
The Chief Missioner of Al-Fathiu Qureeb Society of Nigeria in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Ustaz Yahaya Babatunde, made the plea in Afon during a special prayer held for retiring Director of Personnel Management at Moro Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdul Rasaq Ayinde.
Babatunde described the civil service as the engine room of the government and noted that civil servants had crucial role to play in the success of any administration at a given period.

He described the retiring DPM as a good ambassador of Afon community who had played his part in ensuring the accelerated development of all local government councils where he had worked.
A former Special Adviser to the Governor on Emergency and Relief Services, Dr Muftau Yahaya; Alhaji Abubakar Imam-Fulani, Alhaji Baba Akanno, Mr Mashood Lawal and Alhaji Yekini Zubair, who spoke for friends and associates, commended the retiree for his excellence.
Responding Alhaji Ayinde praised Allah and expressed gratitude to the government and the people of the state for the opportunity he was given to serve the state.
