The organisers of Big Brother Naija Season 11 have introduced a major twist that could see the show’s advertised N100 million grand prize reduced before the finale.

Biggie announced during Monday’s live show that the prize money will now depend on the housemates’ performance in weekly tasks, marking a significant change to the competition.

Under the new format, every failed task will attract a N5 million deduction from the grand prize, while successful tasks will ensure the prize remains intact.

Biggie also disclosed that any money deducted from the prize pool will not be lost. Instead, it will be shared equally among the contestants who emerge as the season’s Most Influential Housemates at the end of the competition.

To support the new reward system, the Most Influential Player of the Week ranking has also been reintroduced. Housemates will rate one another weekly on a scale of 1 to 5, with cumulative rankings helping determine the eventual winners of the influence reward.

In another twist, Biggie unveiled a new strategic segment called Conspiracy Hour.

During the exercise, housemates will enter the Conspiracy Zone individually and may invite as many fellow contestants as they wish for a one-minute strategy discussion. However, every conversation held in the zone must remain confidential, with any breach attracting sanctions from Biggie.

Earlier on Monday, Sheba emerged as the new Head of House, earning immunity from eviction and a special nomination advantage.

Rather than nominating fellow contestants for possible eviction, housemates were directed to vote to save three contestants.

At the end of the exercise, Tram, Barry, Cassi, Goddessa, and Bells received the most save votes.

However, Sheba exercised her Head of House privilege by withdrawing Cassi’s immunity and transferring it to Chimsom Chuka.

The season’s Gambits, Flora and Aikou, also retained their automatic immunity.

Following the twists, 16 housemates were placed up for possible eviction. They are Abi, Araga, Bluethopia, Cassi, Gerard, Kamsy, Keivo, Martins, Mercedes, Nomy, Neche, Oyin, Ricky, Sultex, Temi Nkem, and Yusuf.

Voting is now open and will close at 10 p.m. on Thursday.
