Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered Bauchi Commissioner of Police, Aji Janga to immediately take over from Ahmed Abdulrahaman as Commissioner of Police in Kaduna state.
The redeployment of police bosses is not unconnected with recurring instances of armed banditry, kidnapping and other crimes in Kaduna, Bauchi and other contiguous states.
Adulrahaman redeployment away from Kaduna to Force Intelligence Bureau, Force Headquarters, Abuja was among series of postings announced by the police in a statement by its force public relations officer, Frank Mba.

Formerly, Commissioner of Police, intelligence, Habu Ahmadu was posted to Bauchi command, while CP Omololu Bishi was redeployed from Benue State command to Central Criminal Registry, Alagbon, Lagos.
Mukadas Garba is now Benue Commissioner of Police from formerly working in the office of National Security Adviser.
Other postings see former Commissioner of Police in charge of Central Criminal Registry, Alagbon, Lagos moved to Force headquarters, Abuja, as Commissioner of Police in charge of armament.
Adamu, in the statement, charged the newly posted/redeployed Commissioners of Police and other strategic commanders nationwide to take urgent steps towards initiating and implementing concrete crime prevention strategies aimed at re-dominating and reclaiming the public space under their watch from the activities of monstrous criminal elements in society.
