The holy month of Ramadan has inspired yet another powerful musical collaboration as Tolibian enlists gospel tungba maestro Yinka Ayefele and Afrobeat sensation Badboi OML for a stirring remix of his viral single, Ramadan.
The reimagined version, released to mark the commencement of the sacred month, is already drawing attention for its powerful blend of street pop, Afrobeat, and gospel tungba rhythms.
Tolibian’s original version had become a seasonal anthem, striking a chord with Muslim faithful and music lovers who embraced its uplifting hook and devotional undertone.
The song steadily gained traction online, turning into a cultural soundtrack as Ramadan approached.
Speaking about the remix, Tolibian described the collaboration as both humbling and deeply intentional.
“Ramadan was created from a place of gratitude and reflection,” he said.

“I wanted something that people could vibe to but still feel spiritually connected during the holy month. Having legends and amazing talents jump on it just made the message stronger.”
He expressed particular excitement about working with Ayefele, noting that the veteran singer’s presence added spiritual weight to the record.
“When I heard Baba’s voice on the track, I knew it had gone to another level. His tungba sound carries power and heritage. It’s not just music; it’s culture and faith blended together,” Tolibian added.
Ayefele, known for his rich gospel tungba style, said he was impressed by Tolibian’s creativity and boldness. “When I first listened to Ramadan, I saw a young artiste who understands timing and purpose,” Ayefele said. “Tolibian is very talented. He didn’t just sing for trends; he sang with meaning. That is what moved me.”
The gospel maestro praised Tolibian’s ability to connect with his generation while still respecting spiritual values.
“It takes wisdom for a young artiste to create a song that resonates spiritually and still keeps the streets dancing.
I see sincerity in his craft, and I believe he has a bright future ahead of him,” Ayefele noted.
Ayefele further explained that his decision to join the remix was driven by the message of unity embedded in the song.
“Ramadan is a season of reflection, love, and togetherness. Music should also unite us. When Tolibian reached out, I saw an opportunity to contribute something uplifting during this sacred period,” he said.
Badboi OML complements the track with smooth Afrobeat melodies, adding youthful energy that balances the gospel depth Ayefele brings.
The fusion of sounds creates a dynamic listening experience — from tungba percussion to contemporary Afrobeat rhythms — without losing the spiritual essence of the song.
Industry observers have described the remix as a bridge between generations, with Tolibian’s street credibility meeting Ayefele’s seasoned gospel influence. The collaboration reflects how Nigerian artistes continue to blur genre lines while staying rooted in culture and faith.
As Ramadan unfolds, Tolibian believes the remix will serve as more than just entertainment. “I want people to feel joy, hope, and closeness to God when they play this song,” he said.
