The Cross River state police command has confirmed the arrest and commencement of investigation into the arrest of Sergeants Ayade Vincent, Okoi Otu and four other suspects, for allegedly stealing about 64 cartons of Tiles, from the Canadian University Obudu, Cross River State.
A statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Irene Ugbo, revealed that the suspects are in police custody currently.
“Sergeants Ayade Vincent, Okoi Otu, and four other suspects are currently in police custody for allegedly stealing Tiles, from the Canadian university, Obudu, in Cross River state.
“The duo has abused or defiled their rules of engagement or extant laws of the land, hence they are currently undergoing orderly room trial, as stipulated in the police act and regulations.
The police noted that, “the other four suspects, will be arraigned in court Soonest and that the outcome of the orderly trial shall determine whether or not, the charges will be amended, to include the policemen.”
