Are sex toys safe?

My husband’s job takes him away most of the time. Because of this, I sometimes have the urge for sex but will not like to commit adultery. One of my friends asked me to try a sex toy which is shaped like a penis but I am afraid if the toy could be injurious.

A sex toy is a device used by some men and women for the purpose of elucidating sexual pleasure which they cannot derive through normal sex. The decision on whether or not to use such toys are personal and can often be controversial. Unfortunately, some of the toys are made with chemicals that are not safe for the human body. These chemicals can cause itching, burning, rashes, and tissue damage. Other chemicals have been linked to male fertility issues, breast cancer, obesity, type 2 diabetes, asthma. Other chemicals may affect the foetus of a woman who is pregnant or breastfeeding. They also have harmful effects on the central nervous system. A handy trick for checking sex toys made from unsafe materials is the smell test. If a product has a strong smell, that’s a good indicator that cheap, unsafe materials were used to make it. In the alternative, keeping yourself busy with house hold chores, games, sports and reading as well as religious activities will keep your mind away from missing your husband. In addition, you can encourage your husband to apply for leave so he can visit home once in a while.
