An All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant for Zamfara Central, Hon. Sanusi Ibrahim Garacci, on Tuesday in Gusau, Zamfara State, said he was wrongly disqualified from the party’s 2027 senatorial primary and vowed to pursue legal action to protect his rights.
Garacci said he remains in the race for the 2027 election and will seek legal redress over the disqualification, which he linked to alleged issues around party dues.
Addressing newsmen today in Gusau, Hon. Garacci alleged that the APC National Headquarters disqualified him over non-payment of party dues, a claim he said was false.
“I have every documents for the payment of my party dues, but I observed that the committee, either from the state or national headquarters, has removed some of my critical documents just to blacklist me,” Garacci said.

The aspirant said the alleged removal of his documents was an attempt to sideline him from the contest.
He urged his supporters to remain calm, assuring them that all necessary steps were being taken to seek redress through legal channels.
It could be recalled that the development came weeks after APC stakeholders in Zamfara endorsed a consensus arrangement backing incumbent National Assembly members for re-election in 2027.
Garacci had earlier rejected the arrangement, describing it as undemocratic and a sidelining of other aspirants.
The APC is yet to respond publicly to Garacci’s allegations. The party’s national leadership is expected to review and ratify candidate lists submitted by state chapters.
