APC lauds Alaafin over Senator Yari’s chieftain title

All progressive Congress (APC) in Zamfara has lauded the turbaning of senator Abdul Aziz Yari Abubakar as Obaloyin of Yoruba land by His Royal Majesty the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, saying Senator Yari deserve the title.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Zamfara state APC publicity secretary Mallam Yusuf Idris,said the entire Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC members under the able leadership of Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani and indeed the good people of Zamfara State are highly elated.

The statement reads in parts: “Conferment/turbaning of the traditional title of the first Obaloyin of Yoruba land by His Royal Majesty the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade to one of our distinguished party leaders and proud sons, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar is highly appreciable.

“This revered honour couldn’t have come at a better time than now when Nigeria is showing its best leaders to the rest of the world.

“The mammoth crowd that trooped to the city of Ibadan from all walks of life to witness the Alaafin of Oyo process the rites of the gracious title is a testimony that Senator Yari received it with eminence and most deserving.

“Senator Abdul-Aziz is among the respected leaders because of his honesty, sincerity and total devotion to Allah’s commandments and his philanthropic gesture to the people of Zamfara and beyond is one of the reasons we ask God Almighty to continue to elevate him in all his human endeavors.

“APC in Zamfara is proud of him and appreciates his role in standing firm for the success of the party.

“We are therefore using the APC machinery to wish the multi title recipient and bearer of Obaloyin the best as he begins to pilot the affairs of his new office in Yorubaland which has now made him a complete circle title holder in Nigeria”.
