The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council (NANS JCC), Anambra State Chapter, has reiterated its commitment to supporting the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 and that of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on November 8, 2025.
The immediate past Chairman of the association in the state, Comrade Okoye Matthew Okpara, announced the students’ support for Tinubu and Soludo’s second-term campaigns during his official handover to the new leadership and signing-out ceremony, held simultaneously at the SUG Conference Hall, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, on Friday.
Okpara said their unanimous support for the two political leaders was to enable them to complete their plans and vision for the good people of Anambra State and the country at large.
According to him, the association under his leadership had already mobilised over 50,000 students across tertiary institutions in the state for Governor Soludo’s re-election project.
“We are throwing our weight behind President Tinubu and Governor Soludo’s re-election bid because, the political parties, the All Progressive Congress APC and the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in which the dues are contesting under are both progressive in nature.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s achievements within two years in office, especially, the launching of the digital Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), that have removed the financial barrier to higher education for Nigerian students is enough evidence for every Nigerian student to vote for him in the 2027 Presidential election.

“For governor Soludo, we will ensure that no other political party contesting with him wins in the November 8, gubernatorial election in the State. We want the governor to actualized his vision of making Anambra a clean, green, livable and prosperous state in Nigeria. His achievements in three and half years in all sectors of the State economic, especially, the “One Youth Two Skills” empowerment programme, recruitment of over 8,000 teachers and the ongoing road construction across the 179 communities that constitute the State is also an evidence for every Anambra voters-card carrier to vote him back to enable him complete his eight years in office.
Okpara, while congratulating his successor, urged him to sustain the already existing peace, unity and togetherness among students across tertiary institutions in the state.
He also used the event to appeal to Nigerian students to embrace God and shun cultism and other disturbing vices that may ruin their future and the future of the country as a whole.
