The training is being organized by the State government and the State Education programme Investment Project in Awka, the State Capital.
Speaking shortly after declaring the training open, the Commissioner for Basic Education, Prof. Kate Omenugha represented by the Chairman Post Primary Schools Service Commission Lady Joy Ulasi, commended the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano for having the interest of teachers at heart, describing him as teacher friendly.
She enjoined the teachers to use the training to learn innovations in the Education Sector.

On his remark, the representative of the National Association of Proprietors of Private schools in Anambra State, Mr Chinaza Onwuazombe, described the training as a noble objective and appealed to the organizers to extend it to teachers in private schools.
Responding on behalf of other beneficiaries at the event, an English teacher, Mrs Chinyere Ofor-Muogbo from Awada Secondary school, Obosi, who expressed satisfaction with the training, explained that she has learnt major approaches to teaching quality assurance.
In a vote of thanks, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT, Comrade Ifeanyi Ofodile enjoined teachers to be more
committed to duty and shun acts that could destabilize them.
