Ambrose Alli University sacks four lecturers over alleged misconduct

Four lecturers of the Edo State-owned Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, have been sacked from the institution over alleged misconduct.

The university, it was gathered, acted upon the recommendation of a Special Intervention Team (SIT) which considered a report of the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee (SSDC).

Nigerian Tribune further gathered that the team, at an emergency meeting held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, recommended that the lecturers should be sacked from the services of the institution.

The institution Public Relations Officer (PRO), Edward Aihevba, confirmed the sack of the lecturers.

“Yes, the four lecturers were dismissed for gross misconduct,” he said without volunteering the names of the lecturers.
