Kano state Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has ordered the immediate suspension of Dr Tukur Dayyabu Minjibir, the Managing Director of Kano Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO), on allegations of corruption.
The Governor issued the suspension directive in a letter dated September 12, 2023, conveyed by the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Dr Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.
According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Bature Dawakin Tofa, it was disclosed that the managing director was suspended due to his alleged involvement in the inappropriate sale of grains belonging to the Kano State Government.
Dr Dayyabu has been instructed to hand over the affairs of the company to the most senior officer immediately, pending the outcome of further investigation.
The Governor has also ordered a swift investigation and reiterated his commitment to zero tolerance for corruption.
