Akeredolu picks Abegunde as SSG

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, on Monday evening approved the appointment of the former memeber of the House of Representatives, Hon Ifedayo  Abegunde, as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG)  Mr Gbenga Ale  as the Chief of Staff to the governor.

This was contained in statement from the office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Segun Ajiboye who listed other appointments approved by Akeredolu to include: Senior Special Assistant, Administration and Policy Mr Jones Ogunmusire, and the former Speaker of the House of Assembly,  Hon Taofeek Abdulsalam as SSA on legislative, while Mr Kunle Adebayo is the Senior Assistant on Research and Documentation

Others include,  Raheem Aminu as the SSA on Infrastructure, Dr Doyin Odebowale as the SSA on Special Duties and Strategy, Tosin Ogunbodede as Chief of Protocol  and Bole Alabi as Deputy Chief of Protocol.

Meanwhile, the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, has congratulated Abegunde on his appointment as the Secretary to the State Government describing the appointment  as appropriate and well deserved.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the monarch,  Micheal Adeyeye on behalf of the traditional ruler.

He said “This appointment has further demonstrated that there is always a reward for hard work and loyalty.
Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde is highly experienced and a seasoned administrator. He is eminently qualified to hold this noble position being a two time member of the lower House of the National Assembly

There is no iota of doubt that Hon Ifedayo Abegunde will discharge the function of his office dutifully and diligently as required by law.
His Majesty prays for wisdom and God’s guidance for Hon Abegunde as he resumes Office.

Oba Aladelusi however expressed appreciation to the state governor,  Mr Rotimi Akeredolu for fulfilling his promise and keeping to his word by appointing an Akure man for this revered position.
