Barely a week after unknown gunmen raided the Diete Koki Memorial Hospital Opolo, Yenagoa, carting away cash and valuables, a corps member attached to the hospital has been attacked and robbed yesterday.
According to eyewitness account, the incident occurred about 8pm last night in front of the hospital when the victim identified as, Ogechi Wilfred, went to get an item at a store beside the medical facility.
A management staff who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the four-man gang came with a tricycle, popularly known as Keke, accosted Ogechi and dispossessed her of her valuables.
According to the management staff, the items stolen from the victim include two ATM cards, a phone and some cash.
He further said that the incident has since been reported to the Ekeki Police Division under whose jurisdiction the robbery occured for further action.
Meanwhile, as of the time of filing this report, the State Police Command was yet to react to the incident.
