UK-based Nigerian saxophonist Adedoyin Oseni hosted a highly anticipated listening party on Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

During the event, Oseni shared insights into his artistic journey and previewed three forthcoming musical projects set for release in 2024. The projects include:

1. “Alagbara” (composed in 2022), featuring spoken word artist Oyinkansola Adenuga.
2. “Igbo Medley.”
3. “Sounds and Melody Medley.”

The listening party, was planned by Eventby TitiGold and managed by Akinseye Oke, which attracted an intimate audience of over 25 attendees. The event commenced at 4 PM (WAT) with an opening performance with the sound of the talking drummer played by Pope Jero, who captivated the audience with his unique traditional drumming style.

Following an engaging spontaneous session where attendees shared the microphone, Evans Ifeanyi then did a spoken word performance which then ushered in Adedoyin Oseni to the stage to perform “Alagbara,” “Igbo Medley,” and “Jelenke Sound,” a repertoire of highlife songs.

The evening concluded with a jam session featuring talented South Yorkshire musicians, including Segun Yeye (Guitarist), Caleb (Pianist) and Segun Lawal (Pianist), and Mofopefoluwa (Drummer).

Oseni’s listening party successfully set the stage for his upcoming EP release, highlighting his dynamic range and collaborative spirit.
