Abortion according to Wikipedia is the termination of a pregnancy by removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus. It is also defined as a deliberate killing of an innocent human being. While abortion is seen as a child spacing procedure and a means to rectify an error by some, it is not safe for a woman not to carry a child to term.
After 12 weeks, a woman may be restricted from having abortion based on her state as well as the level of risks that the pregnancy poses to her health and that of the fetus. But the fact remains that abortion is not only morally wrong, it is also risky and may create health issues that defy solutions.
The government should ban abortion, especially when it gets to the third month or second trimester in order not to lose lives. There are various health hazards attached to abortion; depression and suicide, reduction in fertility, damage to reproductive organs and being barren in some cases.
Abortion is murder because it involves taking innocent lives, violates civil rights and deprives a child the chances of living. It decides the fate of new life unjustly. While it is scripturally wrong, my opposition to abortion is not on account of religion but on the consideration of human rights and health.
It is a fact that many people undergo abortion to cover shame and stigma but rather than abortion, they should consider more wholesome solutions like adoption. Embracing adoption not only solves the mother’s problems, the child also has a chance to live and couples that are in need of a child but cannot have one can through this system also get relief.
This is one in all solutions that can also curb issues of child theft and baby factories.
