30 traditional rulers across Nigeria on Tuesday paid a visit to Biakpan in Biase LGA, to felicitate the birthday of an influential spiritual leader based in Calabar, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, founder of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.
Led by His Royal Majesty, E. N. P. Opurum, the Etchie of Etchi kingdom in Rivers State, the monarchs spent three days in Biakpan where they had a meeting with the king of Biakpan land, Onun John Mba Eke, to see how to entrench divine precepts and traditional cultures for greater benefits.
Explaining reason for their visit, Opurum said the spiritual leader had done much for them and the country which reason they spent their resources to visit his home town to participate in one week activities leading to the grand celebration of the 98 year old respected philanthropist and cosmic leader whom his adherents adore with awe.
After meeting with the chiefs and people of Biakpan community, the monarchs jointly prayed for the wellbeing of the country and divine guidance to enable President Muhammadu Buhari provide better governance to Nigerians.
“As the traditional rulers are busy praying for our president and guiding our subjects to so do, we urge religious leaders and other Nigerians not to criticise him but join us to pray so that God will help him rule the country well”, Opurum said.
The king of Biakpan, Onun Mba Eke said they were particularly happy with their son, Olumba Olumba Obu reputed to have millions of followers around the world who eversince he was born in 1918 has singlehandedly brought fame, economic emancipation and international fame to their community.
