The Emir of Yauri in Kebbi State, Dr Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi, during the final celebration of his 25th year on the throne, called on his subjects, especially the Elite in his domain to unite and bring more developmental projects to the Emirates.
Abdullahi, who is the 42nd Emir, disclosed this in Yauri during the weekend.
He noted that unity among the elite would not only bring developmental projects to the area but also create an enabling environment for numerous infrastructural facilities to spring up across the Emirate.
“I urge you all rich politicians, and industrialists to continue to come together unite and bring more developmental projects to our Emirate.
“I appeal to you all to continue to create more jobs for our teeming youth so that they could have something doing and not idle.” The Emir said.
The Emir also implored farmers to plant all the available crops in his domain in abundance, noting that the Emirate is an agrarian community and they must show the world that they could feed the nation.

“I want to thank the people of Yauri Emirate for your support since I ascended the throne, you have been supporting me in my efforts to bring development projects and development to our Emirate. Almighty Allah will continue to bring peace and progress to our territory.
“We are farmers in Yauri, we have everything in abundance. We can grow many crops in our Emirate. So, I enjoy you to plant crops for the development of Yauri Emirate.”
The Emir thanked the State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, and the State Government for their support of the Emirate. He also appreciated other Emirs, traditional rulers who attended his 25th anniversary on the throne.
The occasion which was attended by many Emirs, Obas, and prominent traditional rulers across the country had Chief Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, represented by his own Chief of staff; Minister of State for Education, who is also from Yauri, among other prominent Nigerians.
In his remark, Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, represented by the Deputy Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Samaila Bagudo, congratulated the Emir and the people of the Emirate for the successful hosting of the ceremony, saying the state government would continue to support the Emirate for any developmental projects.
The final ceremony witnessed processions of various tribes, groups, associations and Horses marching among others at the Emirate.
