The African Democratic Congress (ADC), along with stakeholders and supporters in Zamfara State, has collectively endorsed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.

This announcement was made on Saturday night during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State.

During the meeting, which was presided over by Hon. Atiku Doruwa, the ADC National Organising Secretary, it was affirmed that all Zamfara ADC stakeholders have accepted and endorsed Atiku as the presidential candidate for the party in the state.

“Our decision was based on wide consultations among party leaders and supporters across the 14 local government areas in the state. They all agreed that Atiku Abubakar is their preferred and best candidate that would address Nigeria’s current socioeconomic challenges.

“We, Zamfara supporters and stakeholders, have unanimously endorsed Atiku Abubakar as ADC presidential candidate. It is our believe he has the experience, capacity and national reach for secure and prosperous Nigeria.”

According to him, Zamfara State ADC would work to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and coordination towards the success of the party come 2027 in the country.

He urged party members and supporters to align with the former vice president, Atiku’s policy, agenda and party’s blueprint for a better Nigeria.
