While the APC adopted affirmation for their candidates to emerge, the PDP held primary elections in all federal constituencies and Osun Central Senatorial District, which was won by the former chairman of the PDP in the state, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa, who defeated another party stalwart, Alhaji Fatai Oyedele.
Similarly, Chief Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi also secured the PDP’s ticket to contest for the Osun East Senatorial District in the 2019 general elections.

Findings by Tribune Online indicated that the current lawmaker, representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency won a return ticket for the fourth time, while Mudasiru Lukman clinched the PDP ticket for Iwo Federal Constituency, just as a journalist and former chairman of Egbedore local government, Hon Bamidele Salaam won his party’s ticket for Egbedore/Ede North/Ede South Federal Constituency.
Hon Oladapo Adelowokan (Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Mr Bimbo Ajilesoro (Ife Federal Constituency), Alhaji Moruf Adewale (Osogbo, Federal Constituency), Hon. Soji Adetunji (Ifelodun Federal Constituency), Dr Kolapo Akinroye (Irewole Federal Constituency) and Hon. Clement Akanni (Ila Federal Constituency).
Meanwhile, the director of publicity, research and strategy of the APC in Osun, Barrister Kunle Oyatomi informed our correspondent that the party adopted consensus arrangement for all its aspirants, which he said, had already produced candidates for all the elective seats in the National Assembly.
He, however, promised to avail Tribune Online with the list when it is finalised and approved by the party’s leadership, just as he hinted that the incumbent deputy governor, Mrs Titi Laoye Tomori who was eyeing Osun Central Senatorial seat on the platform of the APC had stepped down for the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Osun State, Dr Ajibola Basiru.
