A 10-year-old student of Juniors International School, Oluyole, Ibadan, Oyo State, Ademidun Ayotomiwa Adebisi, recently presented her debut book, Ace Kidz, to the public.

The book presentation had in attendance students, teachers, parents and well-wishers.

While speaking on the occasion, Ademidun said, “I have always admired books and was always asking myself what it meant to be a writer.

“Most times, I picture myself as the author of books like Dork Diary, Wimpy Kids, among others, and by the time I was eight, I discovered I love writing.

“Ace Kidz is my first book which took about two months to write and it has 42 pages. I will call the book one of its kind and I’m sure everyone will agree once they’ve read it. It is a short play about Year Six pupils preparing to write their final examinations in primary school.”

On how difficult it was to write the book, Ademidun says: “Writing is fun, but it takes a lot more. A lot of times, I felt like giving up, but then a lot of people came through for me. My long holiday in Abuja, as I was new in the environment, also helped me.”
