Nigerians have been called upon to actively participate in politics, as the only instrument towards national growth and development.
This call was made by a two-time governorship candidate in Ogun State, Prince Gboyega Isiaka, while addressing well-wisher during a programme to mark his 56th birthday, last Saturday, in Abeokuta.
Isiaka noted that active involvement in politics would bring an end to the minority interest determining the political fate of the country.
“We should not be deterred by the violent nature of our politics here. We should not let the minority continue to determine our fate politically. We need everyone to come on board. Politics is for everyone. We all have a role to play. We cannot do it alone,” he said.
He advised the nation’s youth not to engage in any violent act that could jeopardize their future, admonishing them to play politics with a sense of morality and sincerity.

The giver hopeful said, “It is a pity that our value system has been eroded. Our youths must learn to get involved in politics. They must be truthful and honest in playing politics. Those that have been given opportunity have misused the opportunity. Power is not given to those that are not truthful enough handle it judiciously.”
Isiaka assured the people of the state of his determination to succeed the incumbent, Senator Ibikunle Amosun in 2019.
He said, “Let’s ensure we stay true to the cause at hand. I am on a journey, and I need a vehicle. I can not afford to get a faulty vehicle, or one in poor working condition.
“We need an effective vehicle. We are determined to assume the seat of power, but we need your support and God’s blessing.”
