Students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, has demanded immediate and unconditional release of the school from the two owner governors.
The students, under the auspices of Save Education and Reopen LAUTECH Coalition (SERAL-C) stated this while addressing journalists at the Correspondents Chapel, Mokola, Ibadan, on Monday morning.
The declaration were made in an address read on behalf of SERAL-C by the duo of Comrades Omoakin Monsurudeen and Isreal Fawole.
Other demands include immediate payment of all outstanding salaries and allowances of striking workers, no to hike in school fees, improved funding and democratic management of LAUTECH and restoration of LAUTECH Students’ Union.
The students who stormed Mokola in scores were singing various aluta songs, displaying placards with several inscriptions appealing to both Osun and Oyo state governors, to reopen their school.
