In a boost to morale and professional development within the Nigeria Police Force, the Zone 10 Police Headquarters in Sokoto has decorated 49 officers recently elevated to higher ranks following the latest promotion exercise approved by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
The promotion, conducted on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, saw nine Inspectors promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II), 33 Sergeants elevated to the rank of Inspector, and seven Corporals promoted to Sergeant.
The decoration ceremonies were held in two phases—on July 25 and August 6, 2025—under the supervision of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 10 Command, AIG Gyogon Augustine Grimah, and his management team. Family members, friends, and colleagues of the officers were present to celebrate the milestone achievements.
