Honourable Aminu Sani Jaji, the member representing the Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, has launched an empowerment scheme for over 6,000 of his constituents.
Hon. Sani Jaji’s empowerment scheme is part of his intervention to address the current economic hardship in the state.
Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Ecological Funds, represents the Birnin Magaji/Kaura Namoda Federal Constituency in Zamfara.
Speaking while flagging off the empowerment scheme in Kaura Namoda town on Tuesday, Hon. Jaji said the scheme aims to alleviate the suffering of the masses in the area.
The lawmaker, represented by the former Chairman of Birnin Magaji Local Government Council, Alhaji Muhammadu Umar, stated that the initiative would benefit all 480 polling units in the two LGAs.
Umar, who also serves as the Chairman of the distribution committee for the empowerment scheme, said a total of 3,000 bags of rice, 4,500 bags of fertilizer, 200 sewing machines, 100 knitting machines, and 500 pasta machines had been procured for distribution to various groups of beneficiaries.
“Some of the women beneficiaries will receive pasta machines along with one bag of flour, while 20 welding machines will be provided to unemployed trained welders.

“Additionally, 200 Point of Sale (POS) machines will be given to 200 trained POS operators, along with cash assistance totaling N10 million.
“Furthermore, 105 borehole machines will be distributed to 105 youths trained in borehole repairs, along with N10 million in cash,” the lawmaker explained.
Earlier, Mansur Khalifa-Kaura, the Secretary of the distribution committee, stated that the beneficiaries were selected from the 21 political wards in Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji LGAs.
“This gesture is in addition to the recent scholarship offered to 30 students of the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda under the lawmaker’s education scheme.
“As we all know, a few months ago, Jaji empowered vulnerable persons with cash and items worth over N100 million across the state,” Khalifa-Kaura added.
