GOV. Mohammed Bello-Matawalle has pledged to construct an ultra-modern hospital in Maradun, to enhance health care delivery in his home local government area.
Matawalle made the pledge during his visit to victims of a motor accident receiving treatment at the rural hospital in Maradun.
A statement by his spokesman, Yusuf Idris issued on Thursday in Gusau, said the new ultra-modern hospital, when constructed, would provide best healthcare services to the people of the area.

The governor reiterated his administration’s policy of providing world-class health facilities across the state and announced that women and children would now get free medical services.
He later donated money to all the patients on admission at the hospital in Maradun.
Earlier, the Principal Medical Officer, Dr Abdulrahman Gummi, told the governor that the hospital has four departments and needed rehabilitation and upgrading for better service delivery.
The medical officer called for the provision of modern hospital equipment such as oxygen, physiotherapy and scanning machines.
He thanked the governor for the visit and pledged the dedication of the staff to duty and their support to the success of the administration in the area of health care.
Meanwhile, the governor has ordered adequate treatment of two Peoples Democratic Party supporters on admission at the Federal Medical Centre Gusau.
The two were involved in a traffic accident while on their way to welcome the governor to Maradun.
Matawalle said that the state government would bear the cost of treatment for the two patients.
