The Zamfara state government has assured to rebuild its educational sector, saying the system is in disarray and in a shameful state.
The newly sworn-in Commissioner for Education, science, and Technology, Mallam Wadatau Madawaki, has further assured that the state of Education, God willing, would receive the utmost attention and redeem its lost glory in the state.
Speaking in an interview at his residence in Gusau, the Commissioner revealed that Education is in disarray, which is shameful in Zamfara State.
Madawaki maintained that the state of Education in Zamfara is shameful and needs an overhaul that would make the state proud.
“He assured us to start from the basics to build a strong educational foundation for the people in the state: From primary, secondary, and tertiary, our administration would ensure the provision of qualitative education in the state,” he said.
The Newly sworn-in commissioner further disclosed that he will provide quality Education to compete with other states in terms of productivity.
According to him, the world is going digital, technology is necessary, and there is a need for youth to be self-employed with acquired skills.
“I believe and it’s our plan to train graduates to acquire skills for self-employment to stop them from waiting for white collar jobs”.
He said most of the criminal activities and bedevilling insecurity were perpetrated by uneducated youth with non-formal education.
I believe with education, society would be more developed and freer from crimes”.
