Yuletide: DPR assures Ogun residents of availability of petroleum products

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Abeokuta Field Office, has assured motorists and residents of the state of availability of all petroleum products during and after the festive period.

The assurance was given by the Operations Controller of DPR, Mrs Muinat Bello-Zagi, during a stakeholders meeting, held at its head office, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Wednesday.

Bello-Zagi advised marketers and operators of petroleum products not to engage in any form of diversion, under-dispensing, hoarding, adulteration and unsafe acts in their respective petroleum retail outlets.

The Operations Controller said anyone found culpable of any sharp practices would be dealt with accordingly.

She noted that the Agency had developed technology to effectively monitor Oil and Gas facilities within the State to promote investment, customer satisfaction and safe promotions.

Bello-Zagi also informed the stakeholders that all Gas applications would be online from January 2020 for better service delivery, as a way of improving industry cost control and transparency.
