The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, has felicitated the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, over his installation as the Aare Omoluabi of Akure kingdom by His Royal Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Deji of Akure and Deji-in-Council today, 18th July, 2025.
In a congratulatory message personally issued by Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja but made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Arapaja stated that the installation of Makinde further attested to his numerous achievements as the Governor of Oyo State in over six years in office.
“On behalf of my family and the entire PDP in the South, I felicitate and congratulate our amiable Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde as he is being conferred with a chieftaincy title as the Aare Omoluabi of Akure kingdom today.
“This honour further confirms your Excellency’s selfless service to the good people of Oyo State, Nigeria and humanity in general. You are truly an Omoluabi!
“No doubt, the people of Oyo State made the best decision to have re-elected you in the 2023 election.
“Indeed, our Governor is someone whose integrity and character stand firm. This chieftaincy title is one of the very few titles and awards that His Excellency has consented to.
“I’m confident that this will serve as a continuous source of motivation for our leader, inspiring even greater accomplishments in the nearest future.
“I congratulate you, Sir, our leader. You will continue to be energised so as to continue to impact positively in the lives of the citizens in the State.” Arapaja stated.
