The Yobe State Police Command, in its crackdown on electricity power cable vandals, has arrested two suspects with stolen cables that were about to be carted away.

The Police Command has made significant strides in combating the vandalism of public property, particularly power and electricity distribution infrastructure.

On April 12, 2025, at about 1300 hrs, the Karasuwa Divisional Police Headquarters apprehended Yahaya Mustapha, 28, and Bello Yakubu, 38, both of Takari Ward, Gashua, Bade LGA, in possession of a large quantity of dismantled power transmission cables in Waro Village, Karasuwa LGA.
