Yobe businessman assures young people of empowerment

Published by

THE chairman, Table Water Association, ATW, in Potiskum, Ayuba Ayaco has vowed to ensure that young people from the area become self-reliant without necessarily waiting for white-collar jobs if he makes it to the House of Assembly next session.

The businessman assured that he will initiate programmes that will further empower the people of the area which is basically a farming and commercial area of Yobe State.

Ayaco who hopes to ride on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, assured that he will ensure effective representation, security, youth empowerment with integrity while looking for a long-term solution to the problems of his constituency.

The chairman of the Association for Table Water (ATW), Potiskum and founder of Ayaco Football Club maintained that his tenure in the Yobe Assembly will reposition the youths of the area so that they will be self-reliant, to enable them to scale through the hurdles of the economic hardship.

The businessman pleaded with the leadership of PDP to give all the aspirants a level playing ground to test their acceptability among the people instead of hand-picking candidates which to him is very undemocratic.

“My constituency is PDP, even the incumbent member was voted under the umbrella of the PDP before he ran away to the All Progressive Congress party APC and became irrelevant to his constituents. I intend to change all that.” he maintained.
