THE Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Huruna Osegba has declared that Nasarawa State is yet to receive the second batch of Paris club refund.
The Commissioner who disclosed this to newsmen in Lafia, on Friday, shortly after a Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC), said as soon as it is in receipt of the money, the public will be informed.
Speaking on the amount received from the federation account for the payment of salaries, the commissioner said that, the state received N752,000 from the federation account.
He explained that the amount received, is less than previous amount received, hence, it augmented the money to enable it pay 50, 60, and 70 percent as it applies to the concerned local government areas.
He urged workers to continue to pray for improved allocation to enable the state and local governments meet up with its obligation of consistent payment of salaries.
