Smart phone manufacturing company, Xiaomi, has announced the arrival of Mi 9T, the latest smartphone in its highly popular flagship Mi 9 family, into the nation’s smartphone market.
Unveiling the new smartphone to the media, in Lagos, recently, the Marketing Director, Xiaomi, Mr Somoye Habeeb, explained that the decision to introduce the new device was informed by the need to further enhance consumers’ experience in Nigeria.
According to him, the new offering, available in major stores and phone shops around the country, is designed with some features, aimed at giving it a competitive edge in the nation’s smartphone market.
The new device, he said, is designed to among other features provide the consumer ultimate gaming experience, with its new Game Turbo 2.0 by optimising its touch response, display, sound quality, network and in-game calls.
“While the touch response rate goes up to 180Hz, the click and touch response times are reduced to about 70 milliseconds, thereby enabling the new Mi 9 family member to offer an e-sports-level gaming experience,” Habeeb stated.
He added that the new device has also bagged the low-blue-light eye protection certification by Germany’s VDE Testing and Certification Institute, due to its Amoled full screen display that supports reading and sunlight mode.
The device, equipped with the seventh-generation in-screen fingerprint technology, is presently available in two colours of Carbon Black and Glacier Blue, with the Flame Red version coming at a later date, he added.
“We must deny these groups the undue publicity they crave,” the minister said.
