#XenophobiaInSouthAfrica: Tiwa Savage cancels upcoming DSTV concert in South Africa
Singer Tiwa Savage has said that she is cancelling her upcoming DSTV Festival in Johannesburg as a result of the xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other African nationals in the country.
The programme has been scheduled to hold September 21, 2019.
Tiwa Savage disclosed this in a tweet via her Twitter handle, @TiwaSavage Wednesday morning.
She tweeted: “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
