Seasoned marketing communications practitioners have been penciled down to speak at this year’s edition of the World Consumer Rights Day, organized by the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN), scheduled to hold this week in Lagos.
Tagged “A Just Transition to Sustainable Lifestyles,” the 202 World Consumer Rights Day is aimed at promoting sustainable living practices and further creating awareness about consumer rights.
A release issued by the association explained that, while the event, scheduled for March 14, this year, will feature a keynote address by CEO of Kratos Sustainability Consults, Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, other industry leaders that will be on the panel include: Sustainability and CSR Manager at Nigerian Breweries, Oluseye Olugun; Head of Sustainability and CSR at Guinness Nigeria, Aderonke Aderinoye; Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability Lead at Nestlé Nigeria, Victoria Uwadoka; and CEO of Climate Change Nigeria (CIC), Bankole Oloruntoba.
Speaking on the forthcoming event, the association’s Chairman, Daniel Obi, described the event as part of the association’s efforts at accelerating the achievement of sustainability in Nigeria in line with the United Nations’ 17-point Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda.
