The Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA), under the leadership of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has been tasked to tackle the menace of ‘One Chance’ (kidnapping and extortion of unsuspecting passengers by criminal elements) in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
In a statement issued on Friday, Afro Pop Star and Social Justice Crusader, Ayokanmi Eyanro, professionally known as Frequencie, condemned ‘One Chance’ menace in FCT.
According to him, the cases of ‘One Chance’ in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have become worrisome.

“It’s a growing menace and the FCTA and the federal government must strengthen the security agencies to protect Abuja residents from criminals kidnapping and extorting them”.
He said that many unsuspecting people have been trapped in a criminal’s den as a result of the menace.
Frequencie urged the government to introduce mandatory registration of car owners using their vehicles for commercial activities in Abuja.
He also called for introduction of an affordable mass transit scheme to cushion the effects of high transport fares due to the removal of fuel subsidy, noting that the criminal elements are exploiting the situation of high transport fares to lure people with cheaper fares.
