As more communities across the United States and abroad continue to experience significant health challenges, Greater New Hope Charities, based in the United States, has partnered with Union Baptist Association in Portland, Oregon, to address the growing need for accessible healthcare services. Established to serve and positively impact underprivileged communities, the poor, and the needy—including children—Greater New Hope Charities (GNH) is committed to expanding its reach beyond the USA to ensure underserved populations gain vital support.
In a statement made available over the weekend, Greater New Hope Charities highlighted the purpose of this new initiative, emphasizing its dedication to extending healthcare services to those who lack consistent access. The organization underscored its commitment to building healthier communities through collaboration with other charities and leveraging local partnerships to maximize impact.
“Access to healthcare is a fundamental right that too many people still struggle to achieve,” the statement read. “By partnering with Union Baptist Association and its network of churches, we aim to bring essential health services to communities that have historically been left out.”
As part of the mission, Union Baptist Association—represented by nine churches, including Greater Mt. Gillard Church, Fellowship MB Church, Ministry of Hope, Bathsheba Baptist Church, Lighthouse Christian Church, Vancouver First Baptist Church, Morning Star Church, Greater Faith, and New Hope Baptist Church—has joined GNH to help facilitate this outreach. This inaugural mission to Nigeria represents a significant step in GNH’s vision of making a global impact.
Mr. Tony Curry, President of Greater New Hope Charities’ Alabama Hub, served as mission coordinator and expressed gratitude for the support received from all involved. “This mission would not have been possible without the dedication of our partner churches and the generous contributions from sponsors and donors,” Curry said.
Reverend Carland Allen and Mrs. Linda Ellerby Allen were also acknowledged for their substantial contributions to the mission to Nigeria, which played a critical role in enabling GNH to deliver on its goals.
Through this partnership, GNH aims to deliver mobile clinics and virtual health consultations to provide much-needed medical services to remote communities. These mobile clinics allow residents, particularly those in rural areas, to access regular health check-ups, consultations, and preventive services that are often unavailable in underserved areas.
“Our mission is focused on preventive healthcare,” a spokesperson from GNH explained. “By providing screenings, vaccinations, and health consultations, we can catch health issues early and prevent them from becoming severe, costly problems.”
The mission reflects GNH’s broader goals to address diverse healthcare needs, including chronic disease management, mental health support, and nutrition education. “We are passionate about a holistic approach to health,” added the spokesperson. “With our mobile clinics, we aim to cover a range of medical needs to ensure that every patient can receive comprehensive care.”
GNH and its partners hope to build on the success of this initial mission, with future plans to expand services to other communities and countries. “This mission to Nigeria is just the beginning of our commitment to making a lasting difference,” Curry emphasized. “Our vision is to establish
