The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has explained why it directed all UTME candidates to re-upload their 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC SSCE) results.
The Board said the move was necessary after some candidates uploaded their O’level results before the release of the final WAEC SSCE results.
To ensure accuracy in admission processing and prevent discrepancies, JAMB cleared all previously uploaded results from its system.

According to the Board, the reasons for the fresh upload are clear:
Prevent discrepancies: “Ensure accuracy in admission processing by using official final results.”
Official WAEC results only: “Only final WAEC SSCE results will be considered for admissions.”
Mandatory for all candidates: “JAMB mandated a fresh upload for every candidate.”
JAMB urged candidates to re-upload their results promptly via accredited centres and warned against using unauthorised channels, which could lead to result falsification. The Board emphasised that compliance with this directive is crucial for a smooth admission process.
