He said, “the academicians were found guilty by an internal investigative panel set up by the University council stressing that  stiff measures awaits any erring staff and student who may want to breach the rules and regulations guiding the institution“.

According to the VC, “a total of 5,545 students will be awarded certificates, adding that stressing  4,282 with Bachelor’s degrees and 458 with diploma certificates.

While 53 graduating students will be awarded first class 1,143 second class upper,2,376 second class lower 682 with third class while 28 with pass degrees.

41 students bagged postgraduate diploma certificates just as   630 students with masters degree in various disciplines while 134 PhD students will also be awarded certificates in this year’s convocation.

Vice Chancellor Tukur, while stating the successes of the institution under his watch announced that the forthcoming convocation ceremony would be the last under his leadership as VC with the expiration of a five-year tenure urged the federal government to review the Treasury Single Account (TSA) policy describing it as a huge challenge militating against operations of public Universities in the country.
