Why Tinubu is different from other political leaders — Presidency

The Presidency on Monday highlighted a set of attributes it says distinguish President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from other political leaders, describing them as rare among his political opponents.

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, in a statement on X, said the president is defined by courage in making decisions necessary to reform systems, discipline in demanding excellence while leading by example, and a strong will that ensures he remains resolute once he decides on the right course of action.

He added that Tinubu is open-minded and willing to embrace new ideas, forgiving and inclined to give people a second chance, a trait he reportedly learned from his mother’s leadership in the marketplace. 

He was also described as having faith in people by instilling the confidence they need to succeed in assigned tasks, being selfless in uplifting others to achieve success in their chosen fields, and prioritising collaboration across divides in the manner of Abraham Lincoln.

Bwala maintained that these qualities, which he claimed are unmatched by any of Tinubu’s opponents, explain why the president remains unshaken by any alleged conspiracy to unseat him in 2027.

The statement reads, “What mark President Tinubu @officialABAT different from other leaders is these qualities;

“1. Courage- in taking decision necessary to reform systems

“2. Discipline- in demanding excellence, and he leads by example

“3. Strong will – when he makes up his mind to do the right thing, nothing can stop him or influence him otherwise

“4. Open-mindedness – always willing to learn and he is always open to new ideas 

“5. Forgiveness – always given people second chance and he will always say he learned that from his mother dealing with people as a market women leader

“6. Faith in people- He will give you the necessary confidence you need to deliver on any assignment before you

“7. Selfless- Always willing to uplift people and ensure they achieve success in their chosen fields on endeavor 

“8. Collaboration-like Abraham Lincoln, he believes collaboration is key to achieving your goals and objectives as a leader. Collaboration across divides.

“These qualities, you cannot find half of it in any of his opponents; that is why he is not perturbed by any conspiracy to unseat him in 2027.”
