Financial Secretary, Prison Fellow Nigeria (PFN) and clergyman, Pastor Olusola Bobade has stressed the need to instill moral values in younger generations.

Bobade noted that instilling moral values in younger generations is important to help develop a strong foundation for their future.

He said this on Monday during the presentation of gift items to his alma mater, St Micheal African Church Primary School, Apata, Ibadan held in celebration of his 60th birthday anniversary.

Bobade, an alumni member of the 1976 set of the school, further stated that moral principles such as honesty and punctuality should be instilled in children because they play significant roles in determining their behaviour.

He added that moral values such as honesty, punctuality, and patience will help measure overall success of a child.

While Bobade who was the timekeeper during his stay urged parents to inculcate moral teachings in the lives of their children, in a bid for them to achieve a bright future.

“I am glad to celebrate my birthday here with my foundation school and as well use this opportunity to teach the current pupils of the school moral values.

“Instilling good life values at an early age is key to establishing a strong foundation to build your child’s character. These values will mold them to become the person you aspire them to be.

“Having positive values allows your child to form long-lasting, meaningful and trusting relationships with others, make morally-driven decisions and achieve healthy success in their future academic or career for example I am a signatory to about 18 accounts of different organisations that is the work of honesty and I have always also ensure I keep to time whenever I have an appointment or attending an event“.

Speaking, the headmistress, St Micheal African Church Primary School, Apata, Rasidat Akinrotimi lauded Bobade for the gesture.

Adding that such event will help encourage pupils of the school on moral values that would be of use to them in future.

”We are happy to see someone like him coming back to appreciate his foundation and aas wellcoming down here to talk to the pupils on moral values , this will go a long way in encouraging our pupils on the inculcation of moral values which will be of use to them in future“.
