It will be recalled that Currency’s son, Yusuf Oladenu Adebisi, had expressed his intention to contest for a seat in the Oyo State House Assembly in 2019.
Speaking with R the Fuji star said that his son’s determination was to bring about quality representation to the people, following the not-too-young-to-rule campaign, put him in a pole position.
“Yusuf has my full support for his political ambition. He is qualified as a citizen and as a young, visionary Nigerian. He is a graduate of History and International Relations, and already has his Master’s. I am confident that he would make the people of Ibadan proud,” Currency assured.
He, however, cleared the air on the rumour that he was having issues with his son for picking politics over music.
According to him; “There is no problem between us. He is mature to make his decision. He is very responsible and brilliant. His vision is wide and he is even looking beyond his current political aspiration.”
Currency said that he was happy that the people of Ibadan accepted his son and showed him love during his formal declaration last Wednesday.
Yusuf is hoping to represent his people in Ibadan South-West Constituency 1.
