Engineer Aliyu Mohammed alias ‘Kombat’ has revealed his decision not to aspire for the 2027 gubernatorial elections in Gombe, after all.
The development came as a surprising announcement from the well-known political figure in Gombe State and gubernatorial hopeful, earlier than before.
The politician, known for his dedication to humanitarian work through his foundation, Velocity Humanitarian Foundation, cited personal commitments and responsibilities as the reasons behind his choice not to aspire for the number one seat in the State.

In a press statement released on Monday, the politician stated that he made the decision after wide consultations with his political associates, friends, and mentors.
He acknowledged the disappointment his decision might cause to his lovers and support groups, but emphasised the need to focus on other important engagements.
According to him, “At this point in my journey, I am committed to several important engagements and responsibilities that require my complete focus and personal attention. Your confidence and trust mean more than words can express”.
The politician however, reassured his supporters that his decision would not affect his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Velocity Humanitarian Foundation, which he promised would continue to deliver its mission of providing interventions and empowerment to the vulnerable.
