Nigerian singer and record producer Young Jonn has shed light on his relationship status, revealing why he is not ready to commit to a serious relationship at this stage of his life.
The 30-year-old hitmaker made the disclosure during a recent appearance on the Way Up podcast hosted by American media personality Angela Yee.
Speaking during a conversation, Young Jonn admitted that while he appreciates the beauty of love, he does not feel prepared to dedicate himself fully to one person.
“Everybody loves love. Love is wonderful. But, I’m not really in that space where I can give so much of me to one person. So, I’m just keeping it platonic with everybody,” he said.
The singer, known for producing chart-topping hits and building his career as a performer, explained that stepping into a serious relationship now would be unfair to any partner.
“I don’t want a serious relationship because I feel like I won’t be able to give that person as much as I’m supposed to. So why put them in that situation?” he added.
His comments come amid persistent speculation about his personal life following rumored ties with Adenike Adeleke, popularly known as Nikos Living, who is related to Afrobeats superstar Davido. The pair had been linked romantically since early 2024, appearing together in social media posts that fueled dating rumors.
By mid-2025, however, fans observed changes that sparked breakup talk, including the two unfollowing each other on Instagram and deleting previously shared photos.

The development fueled curiosity about whether Young Jonn was navigating a fresh phase of singlehood.
Addressing the larger theme, Young Jonn’s reflections highlight the tension many young celebrities face while balancing fame, demanding careers, and private relationships.
With his schedule packed with studio sessions, performances, and collaborations, he admitted that committing to one relationship could compromise his focus on personal growth and artistic pursuits.
Despite his reservations about commitment, the singer stressed that he still values love and meaningful connections. His honesty, he said, was rooted in self-awareness and transparency, qualities he believes should come before societal pressure or expectations in matters of the heart.
Fans reacted swiftly to his remarks, with some commending him for his openness and maturity in choosing not to lead anyone on. Others, however, playfully teased him on social media, urging him to “find love soon” and suggesting that even busy stars deserve companionship.
